A little help 💛
How sharing works ↗

See the heart? Check their post.
Find a small way to help.

Small asks. Meaningful help.

You don’t have to
find all the words.

People often say, “Let me know if you need anything.”
It can be hard to turn that kindness into actual help.

A Little Help This Week gives you a simple way to name what would help—and gives your people somewhere to start.

A meal. A lift. A little company. Add up to three small requests and make a card to share.

You’ll save an image and copy some text, then add them to Facebook yourself. Nothing is posted automatically.

Step 1

Write your requests

Add up to three things that would help. Leave any extra requests blank.

Use as much or as little detail as feels right. No explanation required.

A trusted helper can coordinate replies for you. Add their first name here, with permission.

Your entries stay in this page while it’s open. Refreshing clears them. Download or copy your work before leaving.

Step 2

Make your Facebook post

First copy your post text. Then save or share your card, so the text is ready to paste when you open Facebook.

Your shareable cardFree to make & share

Keep this text with your image so people can read your requests and see updates.

Tap to open the image and saving options. On a phone, you can press and hold the opened image to save it.

  1. Tap “Copy text for Facebook” first. Your text is ready to paste.
  2. Then save or share your card using the button above.
  3. Open Facebook and start a new post. Add the saved card from your photos and paste the copied text.
  4. Choose who can see your post, then publish it when you’re ready.
  5. Come back here for Step 3 if you’d like the matching heart badge as your profile picture.

Your image and text aren’t sent to Facebook automatically. If an image saved to Files or Downloads, open it there and save it to Photos first.

Step 3 ¡ optional

Add your heart badge

Help your request stay on people’s radar. Posts can slip down the feed; using the heart as your profile picture gives people a visible reminder to visit your profile and find your help-request post. The badge is optional.

  1. Save the badge to your photos.
  2. Open your Facebook profile and use the saved badge as your profile picture.
  3. Keep your request post easy to find on your profile.

The badge replaces your profile picture; it isn’t a frame over your photo. “See my post” is a reminder, not a clickable link. The badge does not automatically connect to your post.

A simple way to share—and avoid doubling up
  1. Download your card and copy the caption into a post for your chosen audience.
  2. Ask helpers to name the task they’re offering to do. Confirm with one person before marking it covered.
  3. Edit your original post’s caption to say “Arranging” or “Covered.” Images and shared copies don’t update themselves.
  4. If you want an updated image, change the status here and download it again. Your original post stays the place to check what’s needed.

This card doesn’t reserve tasks automatically. Share addresses and other private details only with the person you’ve confirmed. If posting for someone else, ask their permission first.

Help keep this free 💛

I created A Little Help This Week to make asking for help a little easier. I live with chronic health conditions myself, and creating useful tools is one way I can work around my health. Optional tips support my work and help me keep this tool free for everyone.

No contribution is needed to use or share it.

Your full-size image to save

Next: your matching heart badge

After posting on Facebook, return here to save your badge and use it as your profile picture. Posts can slip down the feed. The heart in your profile picture reminds people to visit your profile and find your help-request post.

You can also save both images now, before you leave.
